Well, it's been 741 years since the bulk of the UIT left Serco Prime for their current home in deep space, and 1 year since VO was released. In honor of this, based on Ctishman's idea, I threw together a little parade. Ships will be departing Sol II H-13 and making their way to Dau G-11 in a steady stream until I stop it some time late tonight.

Awesome... the convoys, the parade... really, really impressive stuff. I had a blast watching the escorts pown the collectors when the parade got caught in the middle of an ion storm, and coming out of warp alongside 20+ behemoths made me feel like I was in Star Wars or something.

Now you need to make one forced to have no escorts going from Sol II to Itan.

Oh, haha! So that's what all those huge fleets were. I was watching these massive convoys and thinking back to the description of how they're supposed to work. You know, the more dangerous the route, the bigger the convoy, and I thought "Man, people must be pirating these things a lot."

But now I understand. It was festivities!

P.S. and I'll second that it was superfun flying along with such huge convoys.

the best part in my opinion was the endpoint at Dau G-11.

When the AI got to the station in the rock, someone was passing out beers, and the ships would skip the easy way in and mill about a tiny crack trying to get in...

The lines for the restrooms were horrible tho...

One Moth decided I got too close and without warning me, unloaded its rockets on me, then chased me around awhile...um, we discussed the misunderstanding...with my plas devs...

Hehe Yeah watching like 30 moths trying to dock once a couple of them had missed, bonked, and spun around wildly was really funny. But they all did eventually get in.

Yes, the parade was great. I even joined in and cruised along with them a couple of times. It was a great time...

Yeah.. their docking/undocking behaviour is one of the things we're working on, to make big groups like that work better.
