For those who don't know, here's his tactics:
1. Get some bind that allows you to dodge nearly anything shot at you.
2. Fly a Valk Vigilant.
3. Swoop down on ANY fight you see and screw it up.
4. When a group trys to gank you, run away until only 1 of them is within 300m.
5. Turn around and fire at this pilot until another one comes within 200m. Then repeat step 4 and 5.
6. When you reach 20% hull, run away.
I don't know what his bind does, but I can't hit him with a GT from even 100m.
I can't have a single fight in B8 anymore with him around, and neither can anyone else. My Vendetta play has come down to chasing down the same valk over and over. I get bored after a while, and that's not what I'm online to do, and it's definitely not something I want to pay to do.

aye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That name sounds familiar...
kill him in 3 easy steps
1. equip a megaposi instead of an AGT
2. turn off autoaim
3. observe his dodging pattern and fire in front of it.
The agt isnt the be all and end all of weapons.. avoiding it is actually quite easy in the lighter ships.

The problem is just as much his cowardly tactics Spellcast.
someone please get a rocket spammer and make him go away... It's a shame he came back.
Who was space hunter back in pre-1.0? Perhaps that would lend a clue to who he is now?
yes. I think he is mad dog...same lameness.
Heh. Anyone else spot the irony in that statement?
Err...
ok,
1. If you're losing to a bind, you really need to work on your aim.
IF YOU ARE USING ULTRA AUTOAIM OF THE AGT, YOU GET NO SYMPATHY FROM ME JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE FINDS AN ULTRA AUTODODGE.
2. The Valk is a potato, if he's flying energy, then he's got guts. The damn things get pwned in energy fights.
3. ok, this IS a bitchy move, and I hate to see anyone do this. But if its 1 example, you don't have my support
4. err... this sounds like the right idea, the point of fighting in groups is to isolate your enemies. If you have a Valk, and you're not using its ability to control when a fight takes place,
then you deserve to get blasted.
If, 4 is a result of 3, then I would recommend dealing with 3, not whining about 4.
5. So you're forced to take them on 1v1, this is the strength of the valk, it doesn't have many other ones. If he's doing this, then DON'T doubleteam him.
I think you're doing it wrong though, if I come upon a valk attacking a comrade, and I feel its my duty to assist. Its just a matter of aim/fire/accept-the-pk.
6. Yes this is bitchy, but, thanks to the new wh vulnerability, it is fully possible to chase and kill.
I DO agree that if a pilot wants to make other people's lives a constant nuisance, by following them everywhere, then its a problem. And I'd like to deal with that. You shouldn't have to chase and kill him over and over.
But lets think about this, kill him once, and he has to travel all the way back from itani space to get to B8. That's a LONG travel time.
Kill him 3 times, and he's unlikely to keep coming in a valk.

Can you guess what would happen if I made a new thread for every person I don't like?
Wanna find out?

It's especially annoying when people like that attack a person you're attacking.
If I'm 1v1-ing someone... I'd rather keep it that way... unless it's a guild war.
It's bothersome to get help when you don't want it... very much so.
Although... it is quite funny to see smittens steal all of Lebermac's kills... ahaha

Yea what are you smokin shape?
He's in a valk.
Hit and run tactics are impossible to counter since the valk controls the fight completely.
Maybe if there was another ship that could actually chase it down....
Or atleast match it in turbo.

Okay, it is TOTALLY not my fault if the only people Leber fights die really easily.
Joking aside, I did apologize to Leber, we had been group hunting all night but I kept underestimating gauss. I tried to save the kills for him, but...
@ Shape
I'm afraid I've got to agree with idiot pants. We don't have anything to hunt down a valk, besides another valk, but SH has gotten so pro at running I still think another valk would lose.
My solution? Give the Covus Vult infiniboost! Yea!

There is no solution. If we make something faster than the Valk, then people will just be able to run in the NewtmFastertmThantmThetmValktm ship, and nothing will be able to catch it... so we make something faster than that, and then nothing can catch the EventmNewertmFastertmThantmThetmThingtmFastertmThantmThetmValktm. It's the same old variety vs. balance problem, if you have any variety in speed, something is going to be faster. If nothing's faster, then there's no variety in speed.
@Shape
Even if I was an uber-pilot, he runs long before you can kill him, and it's impossible to chase him down. The only time I saw him die was when MB or Goldclaw managed to sneak up behind him and land 3 rails (IIRC).

I don't mind SH and Ayn backrolling in Valks and cents. It's not for us to tell them how to fight. If I can make Ayn or SH run away and repair, I count that as a moral vistory. They ARE cowards, but hey, it's hard to kill cowards. When I get good enough to do so, then I will have learned something that has only made ME a better pilot, and THEY are still backrolling cowards. I'm fine with that.
If I based my self-worth solely on my PK-to-death ratio, I'd have killed mysef loooong ago.
And quit stealing my kills Smitt. Hehe.

Well, the idea is that you get hits early,
flying an SVG, if you see him start to turbo and follow, you should be able to get several hits out of a Heavy battery, if he's at 20% he should be toast,
if you don't have enough energy LEFT in your battery, then well, save up next time for when you fight him.
Also remember, when he gets to 20% and starts turboing, say, around 200 m from you, its open season, you can usually blast him before the turbo gets going. Straight lines= energy death
You're using an AGT, THAT's your problem, there's NO way to chase with that.
he shouldn't be able to get far enough away where he can keep turboing.
What I said about the wh animation just means that there's no quick route to getting away from your blasts at 300-500 m.
Matriarch flies an SVG, they get away sometimes, but I get my fair share of kills from behind.

Shape...you obviously haven't tried to shoot down SH while he's running. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE. I can't even hit w/ rails (although that might just be me). And other valks have tried as well (M'at and _Ghost_), SH runs with the precision of a computer...
Hi. We've already been through this kind of thing with another pilot who was apparently breaking the "unwritten" customs of Vendetta. I thought we had all (guides and devs included) learned from that experience.
