The other day I went through a system I am KOS in. I had lost
the SF for over a good 20 minutes.
I was hopping from one unmonitored sector to another and was
caught in an ion storm, dropping me into a monitored sector.
The only thing normally in this sector are rocks and unaligned
bots (big ones, too).
And guess who's there waiting for me. Yes, a flight of SF. They
spawned the instant I did. It was actually kind of funny, 'cause
a lot of them forgot about me as soon as all those typorc and
prosus started shooting.
Coincidence, or are they using a Crystal Ball?

They probably had gotten caught in the storm before you showed up. But since no player was in the sector (this happens after no one is in the sector for 5 min or so) it was asleep meaning they couldn't leave, therefore they all "spawned" the moment you woke up the sector.
