It goes like this: Ore is a renewable resource found in asteroids, and rare ore is what we need to build cool ships. Problem is, there's a bunch of mean, nasty Hive AI out to get the same ore so they can build bigger, badder bots to carry out their nefarious plot to extinguish the human race. And human nature being what it is, if the bots don't finish me off then other corporations trying to lay claim to the same valuable ore will. We all want the ore so that we can built better weapons and ships to TAKE OVER THE UNIVERSE, boldly go, or build a competitive financial empire http://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/3/11684 and if I can trade what I craft to other players http://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/3/9232 then I could support whatever faction I choose by supplying them arms, but I just hope I don't get caught selling high level cannons to newbies http://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/3/9410 or to the wrong faction or I just might get a bounty placed on my head!

The fact that all this revolves around twitch combat makes it even better.

If the pesky humans would just stay out of the way and let them work as they're programmed to, they'd have no problem.

Yeah! I always found it kind of odd, especially being UIT, that constantly trading for a particular company doesn't drop my standing with its competitors.

Certain UIT corps should be buddied up with Itani or Serco as well... I guess depending on the border they're on.

It should be harder to be loved by everyone... Standing should drop per competitor at about half the rate that you standing increaes with who you're trading for... would make for some interesting trading between Verasi and Ukari now that the convoys have escorts.

Yep - I love it. You can't have everyone love you all of the time. Faction standing should make everything a LOT more realistic when the economy gets done right.

And then, a unicorn will jump out from behind the forest of wet reinforced concrete and whisk me away into a forest of GREEN reinforced concrete!
By golly, that WILL be a day to remember!
