new players
hi im a new player in this game can some one tell me what i need to no lol.
Kindly ask for a small loan from a player. If no one gives it to you, depending on what nation you're from, warp one sector away from home and shoot the [NPC] robots. That will get you enough cash to buy trade goods and start trading.
I give 10k if your new and are just low on cash.
Hey... and welcome!
No matter your nation you start off in your home sector (colored your nation's glorious color) with an free government issued welfare bus with lousy government issued welfare parts. Your objective is to do one of few things:
1. kill bots until you have a few bucks on you. This consists of killing all things labelled NPC and getting a hang of the controls. If you die... no worries, government issued busses are in high supply.
2. beg for pocket change. This consists of pleasantly asking for credits from people in an English accent. If someone takes pity on your poor little bus you can buy some cargo in a safe place like your home sector (don't forget to LOAD it! sheesh that's going to take some getting used to!) then bring it somewhere else at least three systems or more away and sell it for profit. Run from everything. Don't stop. Look out for pirates... keep a paper and pencil handy to make a list of people you are going to assassinate when you get good. You will probably get shot. Continue trading if in your bus as long as you can stand it. Figure out better trade routes.
3. Fly around maniacally and slam yourself into assteroids and giggle every single time the computer tells everyone in the sector: Hobnob has issues.
As you trade and get cash and eventually upgrade your ship and what not you will soon learn by the forces of osmosis the other things people do for amusement in this glorious universe. It will all come in time. For now it all starts with a bus, a nice attitude, a bad trade route, and an English Accent.
Things to remember:
-Load your cargo
-Not all people of a different nation hate you
-Many people will hate you because you are a different nation
-There are people out there that will pirate you and steal your S. Get your pencil and put their name on your list.
-Once you upgrade your ship with anything its yours. If you get blown up your gonna lose it. Have a backup plan.
-The targetting reticle isn't all its cracked up to be. Yellow is good but plan ahead
-If someone loans you 10k don't buy a fighter and fly out to challenge the universe to a fistfight. You're gonna lose your 10k and it will be much harder to get it again.
-smile its all good

The most important thing:
DON'T be one of those noobs who simply says, "this game sucks, blah blah blah" or swears constantly. Those kinds of people get hated quickly.

The game is insanely difficult for new players at the moment due to its unbalanced nature and the accidental ferocity of the NPCs, and we apologize for that. These issues should be resolved in a week or so, so hang in there.
edit: a week _at the latest_, sorry.

a week! eek!
And as soon as you can afford it, get a quick-charging battery. Put it in your bus. It'll make a load of difference.
Don't forget that you can upgrade your bus, and that a fully tweaked-out EC-88 in the hands of a skilled pilot can hold its own against many of the more expensive ships in the game.
