Well, I belive it was the Shadowlands preorder people in Anarchy Online that got a leet pet (a small rodent that would follow you around).
I'd --MUCH-- rather like something RPable than something actually usable in the game.

How about we get a flashlight?
The engine CAN handle dynamic lighting, right? Make a small port "gun" that will project a beam of (player defined color?) light 300 meters?
Maybe "Project" is a tall order, but mabe a light-flare-launcher?

I don't want anything for being alpha.

If something is given for being alpha, let it be something simple, like give alpha ships the glow that cargo containers have.

You already got guide powers, of course you dont want anything else :P You can make people die. :) (not that you would, of course :D)

But yeah, I agree, if we get anything at all for just being alpha, it should be something cool, but not very usefull. A green glow would be kinda neat, or some kinda *toy* with no real benefit, apart from its cool.

all I want is a special ship skin.

An option in the color pallete for alphas that has a few unique paint jobs for the ships.. 1 for each ship hull would be enough.

I definitely don't want my ship to glow unless it were some sort of option... think of what an easy target that would make you.

I would like to add, sod alpha testers, I pre ordered via a 3rd party website that promised me access to something I dont have (I cannot remember the exact wording, but it was along the lines of *early access to some special features* well, this hasnt happened). So do I sue the 3rd party place, is what im wondering.

Alphas and Betas got special badges by doing nothing more than being first through the door,...thats good enough, they get enough kudos already.

Well, scrap the Alpha and/or Beta rewards, but I'd really like to see /something/ to show off the "Pre-ordered customer" status.
Anyone could make an account in 2003 and they would be "Alpha tester", but what if they never spent a minute ingame?

Nah, "Pre-ordered" is, I belive, more worth rewarding.

alphas rock! i wouldnt mind having a fury model ship just to fly around in, not actually shooting anything. Or what about a1k0n's UFO! nah... he'll never let us fly in one of those *sigh*
