Config for ship
Hi All
I currently have a Itani Border Guardian Centurion with 2 MK2 Neutron Blaster and a Heavy Battery.
I really like the small fast ship as when botting I very very rarley get hit. I can rack up 50+ kills (Tycorp assults) before popping back to reapir.
I have a few questions.
Is the fast charge battery / ultra fast charge worth getting?
Is the advanced vulture (Corvous) as manuvarable? I know it has a bit more armour.
I have been told the ragnok is good for botting. Is this because you can kill anything before is starts attaking you?
Any advice you would give on ship equipment , ship type etc and why?

It all depends on your playing style. IBG is a nice ship, and in comparison to the Vulturious I'd say that the IBG is better, but that's my personal opinion, simply because the IBG is not as effected by the wing bug as the vulture class ships are, and the vultures have a much larger surface area to hit.
The Rag is good because you can carry a lot of weapons at once and devistate any bot that comes close quickly, not to good for pvp unless your a skilled heavy ship pilot.
The fast charge battery is great, it allows for you the ability to "infiboost" as I'm sure you've heard the term. Of course not all ships can infiboost but enough can. I'm still working on getting my UFC so can't comment, but it's stats are just a little bit better so it can only be a good thing.
If I had to recommend a botting ship it would be whatever you feel most comfortable fighting in, I personally bot with an Orion RevC with dual neuts unless I get bored of that, then I use a Rag with dual Mega Positron Blasters and 3 Axia Accelerated Positron Blasters. With that you can destroy most tycorps in 2-3 hits, which is before they can even defend themselves.

To my knowledge... none of the Centurions can infiniboost... and the only vulture that can do so is the MkI...
The FC is worth getting... and it's not that hard to get one...
the UFC requires a lot more work... so... yeah.

My personal layout for botting changes frequently, but It's usually a hog, because it's agile enough for me to not get hit, but it also has that large port allowing me to use screamers or a gat turret. Right now I've been using a combination of Flares and a Gattling turret, which has been pretty effective.
The Vulturious is a kickass little ship, but not so much for botting, if you're going to bot you want either, as johnhawl said, a lot of firepower, so that the Tycorp's evasive maneuvers are useless, or weapons that counteract those dodges, like flares or AGT.
For PvP, the vulturious is nice, but requires a certain type of flying style, (very different from the IBG), it has better maneuvering speed, and some pilots (Sebastian is very good at this) can use that to pull long strafing movements at close range, which are almost too fast to track. Also if you can use its thin shape, it can be devastating.

50+ kills PFFFT.
I can kill 200+ with a valk.... ROLLING NO LESS!
Yea its an ok ship, trash the heavy bat and get an FC though.

I concur with Chimaera.
I would like to add that if you are looking to start to fly combat against other human pilots, I suggest you start with the Vulturious or in general Vultures first. They are the most balanced ships in the game, and once you can fly them well, swapping into the zippier and faster IBGs will be a breeze. (But not the other way round : you develop bad habits when flying the zippy IBGs that will kill you when you switch to a Vulture.)
[EDIT : By the way, there is a trick to bot hundreds upon hundreds of tycorps in a hornet with neutrons Mk2, without being hit. It is so mechanical that you will fall asleep while botting. PM my main char Holden Caulfield if you see me in game and I'll show ya the Holden Caulfield Five Finger Blossom of Tycorps Busting]
