Well, a space station design contest would be cool. I want to see your guys' ideas of good space stations. I'm sure that you've had plenty of these contests in the past. But anyways, take a go preferably usiung wings 3d. My space station will be coming soon.

PS: Can yhou believe i almost had it done and i didn't save? I'm sure you can guess what happened from there. Ouch.

Just to let you know, the current space stations are modular and future stations will be constructed largely with those modules. A wild deviation from that would fall under the heading of "fantasy".

It could also fall under the catagory of "make more modules". How can you diversify 3 races if all their stuff looks the same?

No biggy. It's not like it's much of a contest. But i wanted to see peoples work. I want to see their ideas of a good space station. I'm still gonna submit mine. Who knows, you might think one or two of them look good enough to use. Never know.

Nammu, you've obviously not seen all three races' stations. Check them out, they all have distinctive trends.

We still need more different looking stations. Like with shapes besides squares and rectangles. How about some CURVES!

Curves require a very large number of polygons to render. Therefore curves require extremely high-end hardware video cards. One of VO's big goals has been to be playable on low-end, older hardware. If we start putting curvy stations in, many player's framerate will suffer.

Spherical stations (or modules), but with jagged polygons included anyway. Like Spaceship Earth at Epcot.

what about the old corolis stations ?? they would give a feel of being 'old' whereas at the mo they all look around the same stage of development.
