leviathan in sedina j9 on test server
GO GO GO! Go look at it, but don't kill it, one of the devs is letting it expand.
Sorry, we're hunting a bug that requires frequent restarts- I'll post a new location in here when its likely to stay there for a while.
I just made a bunch of improvements to the leviathan, too. It now has more turrets (but still needs some more, and weapon changes) and a some more interesting damage/explosion effects. Woo.
stronghold currently in sedina g1
Hopefully it will stay running- I'm not done testing my latest revisions, so I wouldn't be surprised if it crashes.

It be gone now. :D
What were the new effects?
ooh pritty :)
So... Yeah... Every roided sector is a Bastion... But none of the bots are mining... And they show no signs of infecting other systems... Or stations...
And there's no Leviathan. :-(
23 Queens, 6 empty strongholds, and 0 Leviathans. I'm getting the feeling I'm never going to be lucky enough to see it. *sigh*

No worries :). The test server is just for "Testing" anyway. Once we get it all working properly, it'll be in the production universe and you'll be able to see it whenever you want.
What will happen to the stronghold when the worm is killed in the production server? Could the explosion of the Leviatan also destroy the roids?
simon: No, the way things are currently written (and this would be quite hard to change), the stronghold asteroids will remain until the sector shuts down (a few minutes after everyone leaves) and then it will be an empty sector again. The latent rings on the test server are from test runs in which the hive-process didn't get a chance to remove them from the database.
When the Levy blows up you should have it expulse the rings into space at like 300m/s
