Kinda reminds me of that old arcade classic, Centipede. If the Leviathian kills a lot of players does it get longer?
Will the final motion of it look like fluid and organic like the squiddies in "Matrix?"
I think it should be black. Dark, foreboding, ominous. And I liked the original idea of putting it into a hollow asteroid, that is, unless that would adversely affect framerate. (Not that it's not super-low already, looks like with all the bots in-sector.)

My god, LeberMac, centipede, that's brilliant! What if each segment of the Levy was targetable, and when one segment was destroyed the remainder split off into two Leviathi? (sp? ;p)
