i became a bounty hunter to see what it was like thinking i could quit later.. but i cant figure out how to quit. So how do i quit the job?

You can't. Shortly after bounty hunting was introduced, I posted a suggestion for a "Bounty Hunter Resignation" (see: http://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/3/8057 ), but so far, it hasn't been implemented. So once you sign up as a bounty hunter, you're always a bounty hunter.

But, even though you're qualified as a bounty hunter, doesn't mean you have to do bounty hunting. You can just go about your other activities, and ignore the bounty system.

I've been a bounty hunter for 4 months and have never collected a bounty. I just don't pay enough attention to it.

Yah, bounty hunter was started and never really finished. Where are the player created bounties that were said to be introduced soon™? There is a lot of potential to bad is was pushed aside.

Player-created bounties were part of the original design, but were not put in yet because of the massive potential for abuse. The current bounty system was also slightly nerfed, as it was originally possible to have multiple bounties on your head at once, and the XP loss from having your bounty collected used to be larger. The current system does need work, but at least it isn't a breeding ground for griefing incidents and other forms of abuse (for the most part).
