Job dependancy/Job "balance"
Sometimes, miners are dependent on people to corral bots off their backs. But with this BP mission, are the fighters dependent at all on anyone? Money, xp for ships, why, they get everything!
What goes into consideration for xp bonus values or trade item prices, when dev's make changes or addition? With the money I got from BP, I'd be content to do that instead of trading. I know at least one guide is trying to gather suggestions themselves, but I think more statistical information should be considered.

I do a fair amount of mining, and I've never relied on fighters to corral the bots. There's tons of good mining spots that aren't threatened by bots.
But, maybe there should be more inter-reliance between the different roles.

I agree with Fnugget's main point. It seems like monetary rewards should be balanced so that trading and mining are far and away the most lucrative activites.
But they should be more dangerous than they currently are, I think. Right now I can fly around in grey space with a moth full of heliocene without worrying if I hit an ion storm and fairly confident that I won't run into any pirates I can't outrun. If trading and mining were more dangerous, we'd need more combat escorts. There'd be more dependency between jobs. The game would be more fun.

So what happens when there is only 20 people online and you are the only one around for 5 systems and no one wants to protect you, you just going to have to log off till someone comes along and wants to help. Making things too difficult or too dependent on other people, even in an MMO can really hurt the games playability. Just something to consider. And there has been a bigger trend lately of LESS people on, hasn't reached over 60 players in a few weeks.
"YOU" yes all of you :-)
because you are (...) ?
why you are always relying on players?
you known the game has low playersbase atm.
why keeping this space empty?
why not bring NPC in greyspace sometime?
a NPC patrol. just 1 is enought.

aw im not cool because i didn't start a bp thread :(
Mining in valent assault and prosus assault guarded areas w/o guards is more fun anyway. I managed to mine 30 xithricite crates from a roid while being chased around it by a pair of valent assaults. It was more of a challenge to stay within 100m of the roid, while keeping on the opposite side of the roid from the bots. Try it some time, it will spice up your mining time.
