Hey guys, I'm new, just downloaded the trial and am still using my time up. I liked the game so much after the time I have spent though, that I went ahead and ordered it online, and I just want to say it looks very promising and I'm enjoying the time I spend on VO more than I expected.
I've played Earth and Beyond and EVE Online, and while both of them were enjoyable (I miss E&B a lot, main character was Tradesmanjpm on Galileo) VO is unique (not to mention a lot easier on the wallet) and the twitch-action really sucked me in. This reminds me of Tachyon: The Fringe more than any other space based MMO, which is definitely a good thing.
Just wanted to let you know I'm here, chances are I'll be playing my Itani character named Trade much more often since school's out.

But the cap ship battle seems interesting, if I can sign on during that time I'll check it out. I seem to be going slowly in getting my licenses, hopefully I'll have a decent ship to contribute, and if not I've always loved gunning in big fights anyway =)
