Hey guys. I've got an issue here that maybe you all can help me with. I lost my credit card not long ago (actually it was a debit card that got shredded by an ATM) and I have to wait two weeks to get another one. Unfortunately, since I wasn't 100 percent sure that's what happened, I had the card canceled. At any rate, the point is, I won't have another card until after the charge date for my subscription. Can I cancel the sub. until I recieve my new card info and still retain all of my old progress, or will I need to start an entirely different game? The account number will be completely different, so if the game tries to charge my old account it won't find anything there.

So change your billing options. And I think that game accounts are kept for 6 months before being deleted, but I think you'll still be able to access the forums with your current login and pass, just not the game itself.

I can't change my billing options until I know what the new card information is. In addition, it won't do any good until the card is actually activated, which won't be until after the charge deadline.

well you can change your account billing to Paypal, or pay by cash...

Or if you don't want to do that, as I said, I believe that your game account information is kept for 6 months before being deleted, but you'll still be able to log onto the webpage after your game subscription is cancelled, so you'll be able to start up billing when you get your new card.

CP's correct. No need to cancel your subscription. Your characters and stats will remain intact after your paid billing cycle ends. You just won't be able to play until you are able to provide a valid method of payment.

Howabout a more difficult question:

I only play during the summer and between semesters, because my college currently blocks most MP ports. Can I cancel my account come august, so I don't pay for the four months I can't play, and then pay for December and restart where I left off?

Sircamps, yes. Accounts currently aren't being deleted or cleaned out, they're just being stored. You can sign up between semesters and during summer, and cancel your subscription come school. Just don't forget to click cancel subscription, this means that you won't be billed once your time runs out.
