I've been spending a lot of time analyzing chatlogs, and of course pulling terms from the Vendetta wiki trying to compile as comprehensive list of slang as possible. I left out a lot of standard American English slang to make things easier, as well as most generic AIM slang. In total, I came up with a list of 121 slang words, divided into 9 originating categories: 1337, AIM/Chat, American Slang, Aviation Terms, British Slang, Computer Slang, Generic English (common to many forms of English, and not slang), Gamer Slang, and original to Vendetta Online.
I was wondering if you guys could look over the list to see if there's anything that I might have missed.
Forgive the formatting, I did this all in Excel and just did "save as webpage."

Just me personally, but I use "warp" to mean travelling through a wormhole, and "jump" to mean jumping to a different sector in the same system. You describe them both to mean either type of inter-sector travel.
"Strike Force (SF, Defbot) If a player is below -599 standing with a faction, a strike force will be send out when the player enters that faction's space to either kill or drive the player out."
Strikeforces wont attack you at -600, they wont attack you until you reach -601 :P

Well, I can't remember too well but I thought you played during the times that cargo really were called widgets. I also can't remember in what way though. A lot of us carried it on, so isn't it Vendetta slang?
I've also seen players use "aa" to mean auto-aim in the past.

ayuh, cargo = widgets. IE: "Lemme dump these widgets and I'll grab the xith"
I mean I don't know how the game replaced widget over cargo, but I know how players used it. Because I'm pretty sure it used cargohold or something with cargo in the ship stats. I guess it used the word widget in the station buy menu.
I wasn't sure if I should include history that far back... but actually, "widge" is English Slang for "gadget." But Vendetta uses it differently. Yea, it began as "weapon widgets" to refer to powerups in Vendetta Test. Then it became "cargo widgets" to refer to all cargo. Today, you don't see widget used too often to refer to cargo that one has bought (now just "cargo"), but it is used for cargo floating in space.
When did Vendetta Test become Vendetta Online? Did it switch when it transitioned from Alpha to Beta, or did it change at a different time, cuz I honestly don't remember.
I can't believe that I forgot newbie/newb/n00b!...

Okay... you did mention you left out common slang... so "afk" was probably bumped there... but how aout "tk" or "type-kill"?
This may sound funny to you guys, but I wasn't realy used to a lot of terms when I started Vendetta, and, it took me a few months to know what afk meant :D
Alias is a very common term, and probably shouldnt be lumped with vendetta specific terms. mIRC uses Alias in almost exactly the same way as vendetta does, as do a few other games I play.
A glorious list CP. Just a couple small suggestions:
I've heard "cappy" for cap ship.
Concapult?
also, some players use "mt" to indicate wrong channel.

I didn't read it all, but it looked promising. My suggestion: Mention how the new update makes crack-botting not work
Added: afk, tk/type-kill
Updated: alias, concussion mine (added concapult within this definition), lightning mine, and proximity mine.
changed crackbotting to reflect the new update, but I won't upload it for a while.

In VO tk is most likely to mean type-kill, but it other games it is more likely to mean team-kill (someone killed someone on their own team). But VO has the nation friendly-fire protection so that doesn't really apply, so maybe it doesn't warrant mention on your "Vendetta Slang" list...

Nice list! A few suggestions:
-AFK is "Away from Keyboard", not "Away from Computer"
-"Issue" is a verb, not a noun
-"Ice, Yo" originated as the description shown by ice crystals when targeted in early to mid Alpha.
-Where's Pizza Cutter?
-"Slug" or "Iron Slug" used to refer to the Prometheus.
-There's no way in hell "Govbus" is more popular than "Bus"
-"Boost" and "Turbo" are used both as nouns and verbs.

Kixzizzle's and Joyce's "mischat", or is that too odd and seldom-used? I was going to say "concapult", but I see it's in the conc mines' entry. "megaposis" I didn't see. "Beached whale" is another term for the Moth.
Added: Artificial Intelligence, Instanuke, IFF, R&R (Rearm and Repair), Wingbug (though you guys are gonna have to check my definition cuz I couldn't think of a good way of phrasing it)
Updated: AFK, Issue, Ice-Yo, Brake Dance (was Break Dance T_T), Prometheus (added Slug and Iron Slug), Marauder (Pizza Cutter - it was that right?... I never used "Pizza Cutter"), definition of EC series now reads that Govbus is more popular than Freebus, Boost/Turbo has a verb definition as well, noobish is designated an adverb (none of us are really sure, but we agree it's not used as a verb in that case)
I'm sure there are more changes, including a lot of spelling fixes, but I can't remember them now.
As the project is due tomorrow, I'll take more fixes until 9:00am PDT (4:00pm GMT). After that, I leave for school :/
But I suppose I'll make this all available to add to the Vendetta Wiki (considering that I borrowed nearly all of the terms from the wiki, I suppose I should contribute back to it)
Thanks to Lemming, the table actually has lines!! I think I know what he did (I have nearly no knowledge of html... and what I do know is about 7 years outdated), so I might be able to recreate it for future updates.

[EDIT] Added "mischat" under "wc," "beached whale" under "Behemoth," and "Mega Positron Blaster" but didn't make it to the upload [/EDIT]

Outstanding work, Crip.
Should we add "Itanic", meaning the IDV (usually Sola) which was hopelessly doomed to blow up on asteroids on its unusually long journey down from Itan to Sedina B-8 before being fixed.
To give credit where credit is due, was it yoda who came up with this Or was it someone else? It seemed funny to me so I picked up on it.

Sure, why not?
Added: Itanic
I'll most likely upload an updated copy tomorrow after it's due.
