I also don't find the new ship aesthetically pleasing, but it's sort of a good thing. The ships in Vendetta ought to look like they were designed by all sorts of people. Some of them should probably be really akward and ugly.

It'll grow on us, too. I thought the Moth looked pretty silly the first time I saw it.

I like all the designs, I don't want to see 1 type of ship style.

i think that there is no need to hire an artist ever again! unless there is a legal issue with using player designed ships in a game that is used for profit, i am sure that the community can come up with any design that is needed!

okay... I missed the stuff last night (which is apparently when this was introduced) because of work. I'd like to know if and when these will be available to players.

Would that be something like a corvette class of ship? What are the stats on it?

It's a light frigate and it looks like it could use more armor, that's all that is known. Even if stats were given, they would likely be changed very often through now and when it is actually implemented. When will always be "soon" and players will be able to get it "soon," presumably after the hive stuff.

I don't know what I want more, to have one of those or to blast one of those into smitereens... looks great!

I'm glad we have an outrigger type ship, so many of the ships we have felt so boxy, like the atlas, and the moth, and the prom, then you have your flying types in the vulture and the cent and the centaur, its a nice change, and hopefully only on in what will develop into a large library of ships

Personally I think the bridge-window is way out of proportion; it's way too big. The size of it makes the rest of the ship look like its only 50m long. In addition the Trident would surely benefit from some smaller windows in functional areas, ie the docking bay. Clusters of windows should also be placed to represent living quarters and *perhaps* places of leisure (a bar, a panorama room [with a big panorama window] :D !) Lemme ask ya this: do you want our crew to stare at pictures of stars instead of the real thing? Do you really want them revolting, after a hard days work, *just* because you forgot to put in the windows?
