Forumname -> playername isn't going to happen, mostly due to people who have multiple characters and don't want everyone to know that xyz is really abc.

Well, there's also the fact that allthough "Demonen" is a real persons nickname, "Zathras" is a character that only exists in-game...

What would you want with this anyway? Why does it matter who is who in the forums?

What about a pull-down menu in the posting page that shows playernames, which are placed in front of the username. Example:

Ku Genin (ctishman) or
Lodestone (ctishman)

I think that the forums and ingame should stay separate, unless people wish themselves to be known as a certain ingame character. That way, people won't have as much inclination to hunt down certain people that may have made a suggestion that they didn't like, or posted something they didn't like in general. It would keep the ingame atmosphere more focused on the game and playing a role, rather than the FPS mindset of "lets go blow each other away for a while".

I, unfortunately, did not forsee the account name being attached to the forum name. There are things I would prefer other alts would discuss instead of constantly worrying about giving away an alt of mine. I wish there was a way to add forum names without having to start a new account.

perhaps a good compromise would be to allow players to post under their in-game names in the Role-Playing forum only.

Nah, leave it as is. I for one prefer the anonimity the different forum name gives my VO PCs, specially when I'm out bugging people either ingame or here.

I like having more then one forum name. Sometimes when i want to say something really crazy i use a differnt name.
