It can't play filenames with spaces. I don't think it works with absolute pathnames yet, either.
Mm. It does work with absolute pathnames under Linux. Not sure about Windows. It has trouble with spaces in filenames, yes, although if you surround the entire pathname in quotes it might work.
It does. That's what I do for O Fortuna. Of course, that was on my mac...
The auto-generated XMMS Playlists work fine...
The only question I have is does it work with itunes mp3 player on the Mac? If so how do I get it to work?
Nope. It takes ogg vorbis files (.ogg). There's an iTunes plug that'll let it play (but not encode) .oggs out there. Use ogg drop to encode them.
Actually, if you install the Ogg Vorbis Quicktime plugin, iTunes'll play them like that. Of course, the question of making an M3u of them is something else altogether.
On mac os x where does the pathname start. Desktop? Home folder? Hard drive? i tried it and i can't get it to work.
Actually, iTunes generates m3us from .oggs perfectly...
Wombatula:
Vendetta's default folder starts in the Vendetta.app bundle.
However you can use absolute paths that then starts in the root of the harddrive. (where your System folder and Applications folders are for example)

how do you make a m3u playlist that is attached to the .ogg files? or will the m3u work without using oggs?
How do you make a m3u file that will work with the /playlist command?
Yep, mine just crashes Vendetta.
I don't see why you would want music to play in vendetta. Just get a remote or a media keyboard, or both in my case.

Also the remote is really handy for trading, bind the right keys and just lay down in bed and relax. Ahhh the life of a slacker.

Does anyone know of a command that allows you to skip a song on a m3u list?. I was playing on of my m3u files and I wanted to skip a song but didn't know how. Is this possible? If so, are there other similar commands?
