The Hog and the Observer
Ok, so this is about 2 things,
First the Hog with axia posi's and megaposis has a LOT of potential. When you chainfire the 2, you get a really nice rate of fire with a lot of damage.
It takes a bit of work to overcome the sluggishness of the hog, but its a great challenge, (its already good), with the thrust upgrade that the hog needs, it would be feckin lethal.
Secondly, when I brought this out to play, Sherpa was in sector. And was kind enough to provide a large group of Aputech observers.
Now, a while back I asked for targetting drones, These are PERFECT.
I'm pretty sure they're the only bot that when I fight I feel like I'm working on my ability to fight people. They teach you how to track fast and work on your aim with a moving target with GREAT AI.
Is there some way we could create this kind of a training session without a guide having to present?

How did you get them to chain fire?
left-right-left-right-left-right-left-click is one way.
Yeah, set one to one mouse button and the other to a different mouse button. Then hold down both mouse buttons, but starting holding down one a hair after the first. It takes a few tries, but you'll get the rapidfire effect.
what if i have only a one button mouse?
Then you are cursed by a mac :/
get a new mouse.
... I still don't get why apple is still selling computers with one button mouses...
I do something slightly similar with my two-weapon ships.. I bind the left weapon to l-click, and the right weapon to the spacebar.. r-click is activate, which makes more sense to me..
The title of this thread sounds like it should be in Aesop's Fables..
Sure, we can put practice drones in newbie areas.. it's kind of a long-term plan.
"with the blast shield down I can't see the drones!(@#"

Haha Sherpa also made the jedi reference.
As far as chainfiring, the best way is not to set each wep to a different group, and then hold both. You're usin two fingers and eh, I'd rather just use the 1 finger, it lets me aim more easily.
Rather, set primary to both weps, then set secondary to either the right or the left wep.
Then hit the secondary quickly before hitting the primary, you only need to hit the secondary once, the primary will now chainfire.
