It works great!
Sorry I know this forum is for those who have problems and need help, but I just wanted to post and make it known that problems are the exception rather then the rule. I run Gentoo 64-bit with KDE4 and xfce4, alsa sounds, nvidia proprietary driver. I was browsing Gentoo's portage repository and came across this game, typed "emerge vendetta-online-bin" let it install and poof it works wonderfully with zero issues whatsoever at maximum settings without a spec of lagg on a geforce 7800GT and athelon xp dual core 3800+ 64bit cpu. In fact, I rarely have this easy of a time getting something (especially a game) installed and working. Whoever wrote the linux port of this game did a very good job. And, this game is amazing! Soon as I get paid I'm signing up on the monthly!
Yep me Gentoo user too :D Works (and always has) great on Gentoo, and also seems to work great on my laptop (which runs Arch linux).
Aside from that, I think the Gentoo experience is extra smooth because one of the developers is a big-time Gentoo user, so our OS of choice probably gets more testing then some of the more mainstream distros out there :D

Just to contribute my spec to the all-working-all-dancing vendetta-on-linux fest:
I run debian sid 32 bit on dell e6400 (intel p8600, intel chipset complete with intel 4500 line of gfx cards)
Vendetta works like a charm out of the box (downloaded the bin from the site, no apt-get or anything).
Cheers.

great ideas squigly :)
I love the game and it run without an itch on my Mandriva 2009.1.
I run an old overclok P4 3.0 @ 3.6 on an asus p4p800 se with 1 Gb of ram and a Radeon HD 2600 pro AGP of course :)
Thank's for this great game.

I'll chime in here too. Game worked *flawlessly* on:
fedora 11 i386
amd sempron 2800+
1 gb ddr 400
nvidia geforce 6600gt
I'm at max or just-shy-of-max graphics settings (I don't think Anisotropic filtering is enabled?). No lag. Beautiful gaming experience.
My Logitech Attack 3 joystick works out of the box as well.
