So when on skype which uses alsa drivers and i try to run vo at the same time, vo won't detect the alsa driver and tries to use oss which doesn't work (for me) in vo and i have no sound. Now I know I can do both at the same time and have and I don't see why vo isn't detecting the alsa driver at all. It only gives me OSS as a selection and can't force it to use alsa in the config file, it just reverts back to oss and i can't change the config while ingame since alt enter doesn't work in vo...

Any suggestions or ideas?

Anything useful in your VO logs? Generally VO will print out why it's disabling a driver...

nope, it actually loads the alsa driver first and then just goes adn loads the oss, nothing spits out as to being wrong....
