More faction & station specific trade goods
I may be wrong, but AFAIK the only faction specific trade good in the game is XiRite Alloy, which is only sold by UIT (and maybe some Corporate factions). If anyone knows of any other faction specific trade goods currently in-game, I'd be interested to hear what they are.
What I'd like to see, is every Nation faction have at least 3, and every non-nation faction at least 1 unique trade goods, that would only be available for purchase at (some of) that faction's stations. And at least some of the goods would only be sold to people in good standing. Roughly speaking, the further you go from from a source of a trade good, the more profit you can expect to make from it. But right now, you can't really get more than a couple systems away, before going further would just bring you closer to a different source of the same trade good, so your profit starts dropping again. Having trade goods that are only available in a specific faction, or even only at one or two stations, would encourage longer trade routes due to higher profits; and longer trade routes would encourage piracy, because there would be more choke points were traders would have to go through. And more piracy at those choke points would of course encourage anti-piracy at the same choke points.
Some possibilities:
Itani:
* Writings of Eo & his disciples
* Prophecies of Erum the Blind
* Centurian skeleton (6cu; high demand in Orion stations)
* Energy Focus (only actually useful to highly trained monks, but in high demand as curiosities for the general public)
Serco:
* Old Earth Relics (actual objects brought through the original WH from Earth. Only available at Illapa Orbital in Sol II)
* Surgical supplies
* Vulture skeleton (6cu; high demand in BioCom & Corvus stations)
UIT:
* XiRite Alloy
* Dehydrated foods (the UIT's long sojurn in space led them to develop foodstuffs that not only last indefinitly, but also taste good).
* EC-* class skeleton (6cu; high demand in Axia & Valent stations (and everywhere else, too))
Tunguska:
* Mining beam cores (2 or 3 cu; Tunguska produces the highest quality mining beam cores, in high demand by other producers of mining beams).
