TPG Centurion MkV
TPG Test Pilot badge needed.
Liscense: 4/4/-/-/-
Armor: 5500
Cargo: 2cu
Ports: 3 Small Ports
Mass: 3000
Length: 10m
Thrust: 220N (decreased from 245)
Spin Torque: 7.0 Nm
Turbo Speed: 225m/s
Turbo Energy: 50/s
I thought about this when I chased Gerty (who was in a CorVult) back then in a Hog MkII
Just something to match the CorVult in terms of Performance and and Speed (this would also make a perfect racing ship...I think, and to help some Players stand up against Pirates flying the CorVult. It's also an Excellent Griefer Ship!)

This would be seriously overpowered. Not to mention, wtf is 245m/s of Thrust? Don't you mean 245N?

Yes 245N
I decreased the Thrust.
I decreased the Thrust.
TPG has enough faction variants of ships, and there's plenty of Centurions.
-1 to OP.
Honestly, if we need more 3 s-port ships, I think the Marauder should see some love. Most of those suck.

ARF, this is for Lite and F2P players.
some of the F2Pers can't afford $10 (especially those who live in 3rd World countries)

Yet they can afford Android phones with 3D capabilities? Please.

3rd world countries
EP, have you even lived in a 3rd world country?
I'm assuming you don't/haven't
I live in a 3rd world country and money rarely comes around.
I got this Tab during my birthday
+ here in the Philippines some people have credit cards (my family doesn't)
So stop acting like all F2Pers are rich, because some of us aren't.

Why not just make a better marauder that is available to f2pers?
^^^^^^
This would work
This would work
I agree with snake here, that Centurion is just a bit too OP.
And can all the ignorant people stop making dumb assumptions about 3rd world countries? Generally, the people living in third world countries know more about third world countries than you do. (No i do not live in a third world country).

+1' to making (another) marauder variant available to f2p

I really don't care if you can afford $10/mo, nor do I care where you live. In fact, you actually sound like your family has more spending power than mine had when I was your age. Not everybody can afford everything. Get over it.

f2pers don't need good ships. f2p mode is somewhat a "demo" so that the people say "oh this game is cool. i'll buy a full sub".

Claudia: yeah, except for me, can't buy a full-sub so...
then you are not what VO needs.
if you cannot afford paying a full sub, then perhaps you want to worry about other things in your life than playing online games.
if i were largely outta cash i'd get a job and work until i get myself in a financial situation that allows spending my time online, not annoy people with silly suggestions.

So, first of all, I do empathize with people who have reduced purchasing power (which can be true in any location). That being said.. two points:
1) I don't intend to add another fighter ship, just so F2P players have access to something as good as ships that.. already exist, but they don't currently have access to. However..
2) I DO intend to continue evolving and improving the F2P situation, including the possibility of a higher level cap under some circumstances, and a better "grind-vs-buy" tradeoff, etc.
The "cliff" between totally-free and $10-per-month is pretty steep, and regardless of discussions about national economics and relative buying power.. that cliff is not really compatible with the expectations and proclivities of mobile users (even in North America and Europe). Nor is it very well-optimized for revenue from mobile players who do have money to spend.
The problem for me is that it's a risky experiment for the company, the more we encroach on "subscriber" value, the more likely it is for our revenue to suddenly drop (as subs go F2P) and make our existence much less likely. So, changes will be a bit evolutionary, rather than revolutionary, for the moment. But we are up for another round of F2P-business-model tweaks in the next couple of weeks.
The upshot here is that eventually I expect RoboticMechanicalJeb will probably be able to buy a UDV (or whatever) like everyone else. It will likely have steep Crystal requirements that subscribers won't have to deal with, but it will (probably) be accessible.
In the meantime, there are existing fighter options available. They may not be quite as good, but they aren't terrible either, and unlike most games.. pilot skill is still the biggest factor in our universe.

Incarnate, is your intention to keep f2p and Lite sub nearly identical except for the ability to play on non-mobile devices, or do you see more differences being introduced eventually? I'm not looking for detail, just an idea so I can reign in my suggestions that won't fit your vision. I keep thinking there should be an incentive for people who will stay on the mobile devices to upgrade to the Lite sub.
