BioCom Raptor Stampede (Short Range Interceptor)
A Raptor designed to close in on targets at incredible high speed in short bursts at the cost of massive energy drain. Specifically created to intercept targets In-Sector and within radar range.
Faction: BioCom
Faction Level: 940
Level Req: 7/6/7/x/4
Armor: 8000
Cargo: 2
Weapons: 1 Large (centered)
Mass: 3700kg
Thrust: 225 N
Turbo Thrust: 430 N // too much? The point is to make it reach top speed very rapidly.
Max Speed: 65m/s
Spin Torque: 8.0 Nm // I'm not familiar enough with spin torque to align it with the rest of the stats
Turbo Speed: 320m/s
Turbo Energy: 90/s // Interested in the consensus on this
Description: BioCom was awarded a contract from TPG to create a rapidly accelerating interceptor for local (or in-sector) patrols in an effort to secure Union space from pirates and the hive menace. BioCom was awarded this contract partially due to their innovations in biological and cybernetic augmentations, and integrating that technology with machinery and spacecraft. Going with BioCom meant increasing the pilot's chances of survival while manning the craft. This is the proposed prototype offered to TPG and has been approved for real flight trials to exclusive employees of BioCom. Fly at your own risk.
// I've wanted a ship ingame that is capable of insane speeds but in short bursts, something to fly into a furball and intercept within the sector. Not simply another running vessel that can fly indefinitely system to system or deep space itself. But something that can make quick short bursts of speed in the battlefield.

+1 would be fun... 320!

Nobody flies BioCom ships because the locations for their stations suck eggs.
Dau is closer to Sedina than Jallik is. It's about the same as Initros, though Initros does have a wormhole station, so they're slightly closer. And I see plenty of Valks and Proms.
The reason nobody flies Biocom is that they don't have anything worth moving, other than to oddball areas. Their Vulture isn't half bad, but Corvus and Serco produce better, and near Itani space you can just get a Valk or IBG. I honestly don't even remember what their other ships were. Variants of newbie trade ships.
They need something that stands out, like this ship.

They don't have anything but the BioCom vult.
+1, though I think the one L-port may make it less than effective if whatever you're chasing turns around. There is not a great selection of L-port weapons, and most are very heavy, significantly detracting from the effectiveness of the ship as a chaser.

Give it 505 N thrust and 525 N turbo thrust. :)
Edit: 240 N turbo thrust?

505 N thrust would be a bad idea. Turbo thrust is high to reach turbo top speed quickly enough. The thrust used when accelerating without turbo being 505N would make the thing annoyingly unbalanced to fight.
hahahhahaha, YES. DO IT
505N on a 3k ship is absurd it would be more agile than a superlight
Not the Thrust part, the Turbo Thrust part.
I'm not opposed to the turbo thrust being increased, just as long as it doesn't fire you forward like the old jump animation :P
TRS: the price isn't determined, I assume the devs would price it adequately.

for the record I meant 3kg.. lol
That certainly makes a lot more sense, especially within the context...
But yes, the normal thrust would be well normal, I'm after the turbo thrust which doesn't impact it's strafing.
