Ch 1 chat should indicate if playing on PC or Android
When someone chats on the channel 1 (help), there should be some sort of indication as to whether they are playing on PC or Android since the answer to many questions depends on it. It seems silly to constantly be asking if they are on PC or Android. Perhaps something like:
[1][PC] <Super Newbie> I have a question
[1][Droid] <Tablet User> Can someone answer my question?
The extra platform info is only really needed on channel 1. If a player doesn't want to divulge whether they are on PC or Android then they could simply not chat on channel 1.

Make it an option, default to on.

I would tend to make it required on channel 1 - it is a simple enough matter to leave the channel

While the primary distinction would seem to be between PC and Android, I think in the long run it would be better to specify the platform in all cases, rather than singling out Android. For instance if someone is asking about no sound on Windows. Apparently the issue with 5.1 sound on WIndows 7 still exists, as someone was asking about it the other day. Rather than spelling out the platform, merely using the first letter of the platform would keep the clutter to a minimum.
[1][W] <WIndowsUser> Hi, I'm on Linux.
[1][M] <MacUser> No you're not. Silly Windows user.
[1][L] <LinuxUser> Linux is better than both of your operating systems.
[1][A] <AndroidUser> But I can play from the toilet.

It detracts from immersion, and I think it would encourage platform wars. If the player is unable to tell you what platform they are on, they are probably beyond your help.
Oh no! Not "PLATFORM WARS"!!! What could we possibly do to escape this horrible fate?!
Oh yeah... /leave 1
If a person cannot figure that out, they are probably beyond all help.

Sorry, that awesomely needed an echo.
Seriously, who cares if there are platform wars, its better than "yo momma shoots better than that"

[1] is about help, not immersion, rp, and chit-chat. I don't know about other players, but I try to actually be mostly genuinely helpful when I speak on [1]. I try to remember to only spread misinformation when I'm helping people on [100], [444], etc. Platform wars have no place on [1], and anybody who tries should be /vote muted.

I didn't read fully I guess - this would be fine only on channel 1.
