Conquerable Sectors
a BRAND NEW SECTOR (ie. Sol II, Azek, etc.)
s/SECTOR/SYSTEM/
Guild warfare already happens, and it happens everywhere, which is as it should be.
More things to conquer, as well as more things to do with conquered stuff (factories, etc.), are suggestions that have already been made, and things the devs already plan to do.
Adding a new area just for guild warfare and conquest, however, is stupid. First of all, we already have greyspace. Secondly, long-run it should not be limited to greyspace but rather happen everywhere. Of course, the guild warfare element already does. It's just the conquest part that is limited right now. As I said, the devs already plan to greatly expand that. Deneb and the conquerable stations in Greyspace are prototypes.

The original post comes off sounding uninformed, I believe that is part of the problem. Do a little research on your terms; a system is made up of 256 sectors. Sol II is a system, as is Azek.
As Whistler pointed out there already are conquerable sectors in the game as part of the dynamic warfare going on between the Serco and the Itani, which in turn affects the losing nation's ability to blockade the other, which affects the weekly Capture the Cargo (CtC) competition, which affects who can buy the Neutron MkIII blaster.
Manufacturing missions already exist in conquerable stations scattered across Greyspace, and these are the contention of many guilds. VPR, together with TGFT, PA, and ONE used to hold these stations against frequent incursions by CLM, CHRN, and sometimes ITAN. Competition surrounding these stations has lessened, partially because of a shift in power among guilds. Hence, guild warfare in Greyspace has been a part of the game for quite some time.
Your post fails to make note of these already existing features, or presumes the reader is already aware of them. If the latter, your suggestion fails to outline how to improve on these game mechanics. On a somewhat tangential note, I have yet to see a suggestion that begins with a bullet point list go over well. If you expect a well thought out, substantial response then start with a well thought out, substantial suggestion.

edit: (the OP apparently decided to delete his post, yet another faux pas, however I was able to recover it from cached browsing):
What if there was the potential for conquering an entire sector, possibly through the conquering of all stations within a sector? I believe that this could be a lot of fun, especially as it usually takes a good amount of cooperation between players/guilds/nations to conquer even one station.
Some other suggestions to go with it (not all of these are mine, credit given):
- A centralized grey area in the middle of UIT, Serco, and Itani space (to prevent unfairness due to location)
- Special manufacturing missions in the stations within the grey area (Credit to: normal mode)
- Guild vs Guild fights within the grey space (a la Nation Wars)
- Maintaining the grey area as grey area; that is, no nation will have control over it, only players/guilds could, and the affiliation of the player/guild does not give a claim to a nation
+However, it does allow players/guilds to favor a player/guild/nation over another player/guild/nation.
+As well, no turrets in the grey space to be utilized for selective killing.
Please, comments, constructive criticism, all welcome!

haha :DD VPR is really dead if ye try to sell year old info on the Suggestion forum.
Guild warfare already happens, and it happens everywhere, which is as it should be.
Wrong. There is no diplomacy options, no alliances + there should be an option to declare war to the specific guild, that allows rivals to kill each other in the faction space.

Stop whining and suggest something reasonable.

Yes, that makes perfect sense. If Ford and Chevy formally declared war on each other, I'm sure the police would look the other way when the Ford and Chevy employees start killing each other.

Actually, our records extend back much further than that. There is an article on our guild history, accessible from the Viper wiki linked to from the main website.
