EC-109 = epic fail
Why not? Because hardly anyone uses the ones we actually have, and I think there are more EC variants than any other craft!
You'd be better off trying to design a variant for a chassis that has seen less attention, like the Hornet or Wraith.

The noobs who are supposed to use the EC class ships . . . do. Those of us who like the EC-107 . . . use it.
And nothing is going to be given the ability to flit about at 280 m/s infiniboost. That's just asking for annoyance.

i actually like the fact that the 107 is high speed and no weapons or cargo space. it should be 0cu btw. i think it takes forever to get around the universe. i approve of the shuttle, we really need it.
How about a three turreted EC? Talk about a yellow cab:) And the fun to be had in buswars!!!!
Lecter: The purpose/idea behind the 109 is to get around the universe quickly. i.e if a new player needed your help at the other side of the verse. It is pretty much no good for anything else, low armor, low cargo (thinking of changing to 0cu) and low armor. You couldn't exactly shoot someone and run for it because it has no weapon ports. Feel free to speak your mind though, criticism is always welcome.
Also vIsitor: the Wraith is discontinued apart from the Axia Guardian, and I already did a Hornet one, lol. The shuttle does not have to be an EC class, next best thing would be a Revenant or an Atlas, perhaps. I would like the BioCom heavy to be an EC though.
I understand what the "purpose/idea" is; you apparently don't understand what the "law of unintended consequences" is.

the idea is that you cant make any profit and you cant shoot anything. the armor should be extremely low, perhaps 4700 is too much. i think the licenses should be much higher.

Hmmm, just for reference, the currently fastest ship goes at 225 m/s and you want an ec bus to go much faster than that, with infinite boost?
A shuttle. Could even call it a "taxi". No weapons, extreme low armor, no cargo, but very fast. One or two hits from a training laser would blow it up. The only thing it could do is flit across the galaxy. But smack a roid "BOOM". Don't line up on entering station going over the recomended 15 m/s and "BOOM". Sure it is fast, but is fragile. Heh what are they going to do ram you to death? If they ram you they are likely to explode. And no cargo, or even a 1cu cargo, it would take a very long time to make any return profit to cover the cost of a VERY expensive, HIGH liscense, hummingbird.
*Edit* I know where you are not liking this. The "Can't be Caught" clause. So addendum which also adds to other threads. Add a Warp destablizer item to the game. This item would reduce turbo speed of anyone not in the creators group to 160 m/s and prohibits warp-out for the 3000m range surrounding it. Item fits in a large port. Looks like a mine in space. Can only carry 1 at a time. And exists for only 3 minutes.

It's so cute to see the EXACT same language used for the same idea every couple of years.

Which is why I suggest the warp impeder.
Which also seems to be a benefit to many other aspects of the game that are currently running around the boards. Useful for traders running away. Useful, for pirates to stop traders. Useful for guards to "catch" interlopers. Though it is difficult to predict the full run of what will be if such a thing came about. It would add a new aspect to the game.

I really like the BioCom EC-115. We need a large port EC for buswars.
The shuttle idea is pretty dumb, to be honest. (no offence intended). Imagine the annoyance that someone could cause zooming around ramming people.
The lport EC needs to be more available, there being only a couple BioCom stations. Make it avaible at UIT capital stations?
