XangXi introduces a new Gauss Cannon. Named the MKIV Ultralight for it's great weight-saving attributes, the MKIV has been stripped of all excess weight. The Cannon has been upgraded with a fluted UL Housing and uses lightweight P7 plasma cells attributing to its slightly lower damage.

I was debating whether or not to make this a corvus weapon, but the anti-rat part of me decided that they shouldn't get exclusive rights to it. Also, I would expect a certain amount of faction for it, but that's undecided...

I love the gauss, but hate the weight and the speeds. This is primarily nerfed on damage for weight saving. Lowered the damage so it wouldn't be Uber.

Hmmmm, I don't know...
the DPS and DPE are ridiculously low to save 300 kg.

i am just trying not to make it too good so that it would not make it into the game.
suggestions?

its speed is way to fast for how big a bolt gauss fires and the targeting on it

actually that's pretty nice, the speed isn't that bad since its still pretty heavy, Its pretty much like a half turreted AAP with twice the drain and half the fire rate.

Approved. Well balanced. Maybe a small tuning down of the speed (204... 203... something), but even with current speed I say we're good. It can be nerfed further later if necessary.

Love Gauss, like the variant. And Xang Xi needs some love. Maybe make it require 900+ standing?

this thing should go 200m/s tops

put it in as-is for now... it's pretty well nerfed. God knows its damned easy to nerf it further.
