Kaylee's Burn
15 percent increased thrust/30% damage to ship's hull

License: -/-/-/5/- and Basic Trader II
Port: large
Energy: 25/sec for 5 seconds
Delay: single use
Grid Usage: 8
Mass: 500 kg
Volume as cargo: 1 cu

Designed by Sharon Kaylee of the Aeolus Trading Prefectorate, use of this engine modification provides several seconds of increased thrust but at the cost of damage to the ship's hull due to the undesigned stresses it puts upon it. Note: Installation of this unit voids all current manufacturer's warranties on your ship.

A tribute to _Firefly_.

Large port addon. Single use so reload cost should equal purchase price (10k credits?). You will need at least 125 energy to activate. Cannot be turned off once turned on. You can cause your ship to disintegrate around yourself if you use this when your ship is at 30% or less hull integrity (unless a safety is built in but who has time for that?).

Trader's can use this to run from pirates. Pirates can use this to catch up with traders. Fun for all!

sounds good, a bigger boost would be nice though. 15% isn't all that much to deserve such a large hull damage

too bad you have to waste a large port to use this.

With a grid useage of 8 you cant use it on a rag - and a rag is really the only ship with an l port to spare.

I think this could become a possibility, although, as stated before, increase the thrust rate.

YESSIR! And the Moth has TWO large ports. Suck on my plasma pirates:)

Although I only fly XC's or mining moths these days...

Shouldn't it increase their speed as well? What if they hit it when going 160? Would it just do nothing? That wouldn't really make sense, so for 5 seconds, say they accelerate up to 190. After those five seconds, it falls back to 160.
