Turret weapon displays
I just tried out turrets. I love this stuff. There are a few problems.
1. I have almost no way of knowing what turret controls what weapons other than getting in, firing and getting out. For those swarm turrets, that is a problem. Solution: Put the weapon it controls in the name
2. When the cap ship is destroyed, I do not go back to station. I had to self-destruct to escape.
This would, hopefully, not be too much of a problem to implement.

You could always memorize the right ones.

Yes, but I have only ever been on a Trident. And quite frankly, anyone could memorize it, but I do not believe that such simple and important information should need to be memorized.
Computers are fairly good at memorizing things too.
Just use little number overlays (1/2 or P/S for primary/secondary) over the weapon icons on the HUD.
