Common Selectable Navigation's Routes

I was just getting lost with my UIT character among the various systems and wormholes. I was wondering if a list of player specific routes can be added as a feature to the Navigation window. An example would be a route can be automatically plotted spreading various systems to say return to the player's home station or customizable route presets. This would be sweet!

The NavComp needs an overhaul, anyway. This would make for an interesting feature. And perhaps there could be 'nav route data' that can be sold to and bought from players?

That sounds even better. Or better yet, the various stations around the universe of Vendetta could also sell the "Location" so that depending wherever your ship is, accessing the specific station from a list of bought station location will automatically plot a course for some one default or for those who prefer the current state of things, this option does not have to be used. Manual navigation has worked so far and is the primary mode of locomotion in Vendetta Online.

Should navigation get reworked into something more complicated, it'd be sweet if the routes you took through systems were subject to change. It Finding a safe (or fast) route could be difficult, and even more so one that would last a very long time. Thus there'd be a market for people who took time to constantly explore new routes. Especially in a 3-d nav system.

Why is the Nav Map in 2-D, rather than 3-D? What constitutes the horizon?

because it's pointless to have it in 3d.

In the average solar system, most objects orbit on something we call the "plane of the ecliptic". This is the 'horizon'.
