Change the Buddy Note color
I've left three buddy notes recently, and they all have been missed. I think this is because they're white and blend in with other login text (I've missed some before) so could we get this changed to purple or something?
agreed
Good one Smittens.I agree.

I'm surprised there's not a setting in the chatcolors area of config.ini. I think it'd be easier to just add a parameter there for incoming buddy notes and let the players change the colors as necessary.
yea make them flash or something or better yet make them persistant in the pda somewhere, so the user can delete or save them as they wish.
Version 1.8.11 adds the Group/Buddy tab into the PDA. Can we get our buddy notes in this area?
From update log:
"Group management added to Buddy tab and tab is renamed to
Buddy/Group."

good idea. I will look into adding buddy notes to the buddy tab. Actually, I think there will be an indicator of some sort showing that there is a note to you from the specified person. Then you can click on the indicator and see the full note.
Another useful thing would be to display the most recent (unread) note that you have sent to a buddy.
If you needed to send a message to a buddy, that way you could be sure if they had read it.

inbox tab?
ray: Don't worry. Smittens has no buddies, anyway.
Simple solution would be a beep in receiving the note or even a wav sound.
Hmm. according to the code, incoming buddy notes are red, not white.
You can change it yourself to see what color is good by editing the config.ini file and adding this to the [colors] section (or create the [colors] section if nto already there):
chatcolors.incomingbuddynote=ff0000
The ff0000 is the current default color.
