Retroactive?
Alrighty, I know the new Hive Medals are NOT retroactive and there is a good reason for it, seeing as they (the Devs) cannot tell how many of one's kills were Hive related out of all the bot kills. But on the other hand, it feels extremely stupid to be running around with a medal that I've killed 100 Hive bots when I have ~7,000 bot kills.
So, I want to propose a middle ground. Does 50% count of the bot kills sound fair for retroactive purposes?

maybe 75% would be better, as far as i can tell, people kill way more hive than any other bots
Yea, out of 14000 kills on Bojan, prolly 10000 are hive bots.
And I dont have a hive badge. :D

( Total kills - player kills ) * 0.70 = formula for not having to kill thousands of bots a second time.
That said, I don't think it is a big deal in view of the other tasks on the devs' plate.

That's the thing. On the one hand, it's small enough to put off indefinitely. On the other, it's so small it could be one of those "dangling fruit" I hear about.
