Cannot load game at all
Downloaded game after review in magazine. Ran and it updated me automatically and then launched game. Played a while then logged off, went out, came back and now the updater says cannot connect to update server check firewalls. (I have turned it off on my Imac 1Ghz still no luck)

Unable to connect to the vendetta Online update server. Please ensure that yo are connected to the internet. You may need to configure any personal firewalling software or check with your network administrator.

In a nutshell, Vendetta initiates a TCP connection to update.guildsoftware.com:21024 and a UDP connection to majikthise.guildsoftware.com:21141. Your firewall needs to permit outbound connections to these two hosts.

nobody can connect the update server is down again they having probs with it
rod it has nothing to do with your firewall.
i have been connecting for months ,, just today it has gone down and is giving the 'cannot connect to vendetta update server, please try again'.

There were issues after some server maintenance. Please rest assured that this is a rare occurance. Please check back later today.
Ok, tried it and it works fine!! Thanks for your replies everyone, nice to see it's an active helpful community.
Now to go back and see if I can last 5 minutes on that mission again without being blown to smithereens!!!! ;-)

Just so you're aware, I'm still having trouble connecting to the update server. Would it be possible to have some kind of server status page on the site that tells us when things are awry?

If you cannot connect to the game, can you please try pinging it and tracerouting to it so we can see where your route stops?
