way too much faction standing reward
the new trade guild missions give way too much rewards.
You can gain +600 for every single faction in one weekend.
We need long-term-goals!

yeah how about +1000 with all factions + lvl 16 everything? :P
Well maybe it is giving too much...

i'd tend to disagree - strongly.
faction building is no longer a nightmare which requires you to cut your phonelines, lock your household's front and backdoor, board up your windows, buy close to unlimited amount of caffine pills then take 140 cargo missions.
170 missions is -nuts-. i don't see how i built my corvus rep doing that, and i don't know how i found the time to do so.
i think you should be thinking about the players who don't fly cargo ships everyday, who don't have the time, and who certinaly despize trading. the guild missions are STILL tedious, but they are not as tedious as normal cargo missions. the guild trade missions are in tolerance levels which bring less annoyence.
not everyone flys around in a cargo ship doing endless trading and cargo missions. doing absolutely nothing but trading. if you're capable of getting +600 with every faction in a single weekend, i quite frankly don't see how this is possible.

Each mission was giving me ~0.5 faction standing points, at my current ~+960 with Itani.
Well I'm up to at least +600 everything except serco... which I need to bot for a while because I blew up a SAF in Pyronis (oops, -1000)...
But I'll get that to +600 by end of this week.

Please, "long term goals" is not equal to "more tediousness".
Long term goals are fine, and we need those. But if "long term goals" mean hauling cargo doing the exactly same route (carrying the same cargo even!), then I am outta here.

one bringback mission gives you 20-40 points. so lets say 30
it is doable to make 10 of them/hour
So 2 hours for every faction from 0 to 600
I know that at about 960 or so you get less points. But I said "reach 600"
And before you post: "You only get about 20 points per mission":
That would be still only 3 hours
And do not forget:
The faction hit for a pirate that kills you in protected space is now near useless. He could always regain the standings in short time. Do you want that?

Personally, rather than seeing faction standing made harder to gain, I'd prefer to see more & interesting ways to lose standing. I'm going to post in Suggestions on that...

kill 1 guy (admired) at station and have to work 3+ hours to get back your standing.
sound correct to me

Well I only pumped TPG when it was giving wayyy too much. But I did already have UIT and corvus done though.
I just finished getting Serco Admired... so I'm +600 or better (900s with tung and itani, 800s in corvus, 700s in serco orion TPG aeolus) with every single faction...

great for you
you spent a lot of time.
and porbably enjoying to do it.
i personnaly hate the trade missions.
it's annoying. i cant spent over 1 hour in it and using channel 100. it's not the reason why i play this game.
