Drop the cargo BEHIND the ship, not to the left of it, not to the right, not in some random position behind it, just drop it directly behind it.

ARF dropped 4 units of FFSA for me and instead of going behind him, it went *inside* the roid next to the station about 100m away

Yeah, it's especially bad on a Trident Type M. There's a huge radius behind the ship where it might drop out. Blah!

Maybe throw in a raytest from the dropping ship to the ore, to check that it isn't inside anything.

I can think of a few legit reasons to want to dump cargo inside a roid or a station, but really having it such a big random area behind your ship is a pain...
