I hear after the fact that this has been done before, ScubaSteve prolly? Anyway I found that you can gain access to forbidden stations pretty easily so I entered 12 and then 2 as a Hoax (gold). I decided to try for 8 after that and as I was doing it someone mentioned that maybe that wasn't such a good idea but too late... I'm stuck in 8 now with no station interface to 'un-dock' through.

The first time this happened to me in sec 12 was completely unintentional, it is entirely conceivable that this could happen to someone in 8 and get them stuck through no fault of there own. Maybe some kind purgatory station interface with just an undock button to get you out? Or just make sure that the server sends you back to your last homed sector when you log back in under these circumstances.

I'd really appreciate a move whenever a Dev gets a little extra time for character maintenance. That's "Hoax" in sector 8. Thanx,

As I remember, Blaster had the same thing as me and Hoax.
I got a char stuck in s8 =)
Now it's very easy to get to the station in sectors 1, 2, 3, 4, 12, 6.
PS, please don't say how you can repreduce this bug on public chat/forums, since I think people will abuse it.

I agree. I've sent a bug report in.

I'd also note that the homing button does not work in 1/2/3/4/12/6. You can gain access to the station, but once you undock, you can neither re-dock nor respawn in that sector if you die.

I remember also getting a character stuck in 8 right outside the 14 wormhole several months (like, right when 3.2 came out) ago, and didn't even know how, but a1k0n returned me to 4. Now that I think about it, it was the same bug!

You're still stuck in sector 8 Hoax? Hope you brought a snack.

This is a good example of a bug that could be really annoying if everyone knew about it. If you are concerned about such things, you should use the bug reporter and say no more.

I warned you.... told you there was no s8 station added back.
Blitz: that's not how I actually got stuck in s8... I got to the station in 3.2.x in an "accident", then the station was not added back in the clearings of 3.3.x... and I was stuck there, no ship, no station, no nothing.
who cares what you can buy... exploiting and cheating is by no means fun, and it does not help the devs.

Blaster, I know you got there by accident, but this accident can be easily repreduced. I did it once.
It'll be really funny to see people exploiting this bug to get stuck in s8.
