I have run into the issue recently that if you float too far out into space, you eventually reach a threshold after which you can't leave the sector by jumping. I was 1,713,948m from a wormhole. At this point, your only options are to hope you're in a wormhole sector and that it won't take you days to get back to sane space, or /explode.
