Audio artifact on turbo.start.ogg loop
Each time the turbo.start.ogg sound loops, I hear a sort of "tick" sound. I'm using Linux, with Alsa version 1.0.21. No pulse-audio nonsense, just alsa. I'm not using any particular distribution (compiled everything myself using the Linux From Scratch guide).
Two other people confirmed that they could hear it as well. At least one was also using Linux, so I don't know if this is Linux specific or not.
The actual sound is rather soft. I don't usually notice it much when I'm using my loudspeakers. But I just bought a nice set of headphones for playing games at night, and I can hear it pretty well with them. Makes long turbos kind of annoying. Thus this thread ;)

Yeah, it's a known issue. Some sort of encoding artifact, since the original sound was perfectly looped. I just haven't gotten around to fixing it, I agree it is annoying.
The sound is relatively soft due to complaints of it rattling people's windows back in the day. It used to have a lot more bass too.
