None of mining ship variants appear to have the existance or properties (like range) of the integrated mining scanner stated in their description.
Ships i know/heard have this would be:
Warthog Mineral Extractor
Behemoth Heavy Miner mkII

Not sure if other ships are missing such info.

Yea, but that's change logs, most people won't ever see those.
If you look at those ships in game, there's no indication they have the scanner.
