Without taking the central mission the aggressiveness towards the player seems to be linked to the number of queens in the stronghold.

With 4 to 3 queens I'm almost constantly under attack, but with two or less almost never.

Sometimes it's a bit hard to tell if bots were targetting me though. Because often they often abort their attack right away or it's only observers stalking me.
