If you are in a group and your teammate is still fighting in a mission in a sector, while yourself is in a space station each time your teammate kills a drone for example you get a mission update. This update instantly moves you to the missions screen.

This can get very irritating when you are trying to buy and configure your ship.

With each kill you end up in the missions screen.

If you're referring to the Advanced Combat Practice mission, I lowered the frequency at which that happens. It should not notify you every time a bot is killed, just when you're given a new list of bots.
