Belkin n52te
Trying to setup a Belkin n52te gamepad with VO. everything works great except I can't bind the scroll wheel to the accelerate/decelerate button. I suspect is may be because I am also using a joystick instead of a mouse so have set the controls to keyoard and joystick. I have set the gamepad scroll wheel to send key presses and they work fine in any other application.
does anyone have any ideas?
many thanks

As a rough guess I would suggest try binding the mwheelup and down commands. Perhaps the scroll wheel is registered as a mouse....
BTW os?

Thanks for the reply.
I'm using a MACbook Prol with Snow Leopard.
I did try binding the mwheelup and down commands with no luck. In the control assignment screen when I select the accelerate command, it turns red ready to be remapped, but when I move the scroll wheel on the n52te it scrolls the whole page up and down.

You may need to manually edit the bindings. I also am not sure how VO will react to having 2 mice in the system - the game pads were not around when VO was originally written. We may have to send Incarnate a few for fathers day or something.
Ok thanks I'll look at editing the bindings
I use a Nostromo myself. I think the problem you're having is you're trying to bind the up wheel to accelerate but the accelerate (w) key is a press and hold key, and clicking the scroll wheel on the nostromo up is like tapping the 'w' key once.
You can do a turbo bind and then set the scroll wheel to that key, but's with a nostromo the best setup is to use the standard T setup for forward, back and strafes.
