Maybe more of an irritant, than bug, but...
As with every "bug" I have reported, if I stumbled on something like the following in any other application I would bad-think the developers for not catching it and then bad-think the developers every time I ran into it. But because I don't want any new user to come into VO and find any reason to bad-think our "Devs", I point out the following.
On my MacBookPro when I do a hive skirmish there a "score counter" on the bottom center of the screen. The Human count is in black and the Hive is in medium-ish grey. The Hive count is almost always visible, regardless of the background. The Human counter, however disappears against any black or almost black background. And in space, there is a lot of black background. My solution is to turn MouseLook on, if it isn't already, turbo to fix the position of my ship's nose and turn my view so the scorekeeper is against a better background.
In the old gamma settings, I don't even recall being able to see the score keeper at all. So, obviously, its presence is not essential. However, it's a bit (and truly, only a very tiny bit, in my opinion) irksome having the top half disappear when the background goes to black.
Lastly, I wrote this as a post in the thread about last week's update, but out of concern that it might not get read, I am re-posting it here.
As an Apple computer user I want to say thank you to the developers for this update. What was before a really fun game, and nice to look at, too, is now a really fun game, and a thing of beauty.
Since Sunday night I have been telling myself to leave a note, but have been too inthralled with the beauty of the VO universe as it is now displayed on my MacBookPro. I read the brief description in the update log about what changes were made. But I didn't know what "gamma settings" meant, so didn't know what to expect. I was fairly blown away. I thought I had been unknowingly visited by VO aliens and given an eye transplant. Everything was so bright and beautiful. The stars seemed to twinkle. I have thought for a while that the stations in Azek are among the most beautiful in VO, but with the update, I am more sure of it.
Thank you, again.

The human's color is the faction color. And yes, it's dumb that it's black for corvus, and therefore often invisible. I've intended to fix it for a while, but keep forgetting; I'm going to make a ticket for that right now. Thanks for the report.
the hs was from Corvus, so makes sense.
