Odd weapon fire origination problem
While screwing around with other Itani in Sedina B-8 tonight, I noticed an odd *feature*. The shots from one of the players did not "originate" until about 30 meters in front of the ship..
The shot appeared to be effective, although the player receiving the hits could see no hits taking place.
Mecha Touriaus was damaged by the shots, but he was unable to see them impacting him, if I remember correctly. GRAIG did not notice any wierdness on his end, but ? and I both noticed the strange "too-far-forward" origination of his AAP/N2 fire.
Anyway, posting as requested by everyone. Dunno if this is a new bug or not, but I've never seen it.

Might be related to the "weapons fire originates behind the ship" bug.
Nah I see this bug all the time when I play ppl with 150+ ping.
If your about 100m away from them you see the shots when they're right in front of your face or you don't see them at all and they just hit.
Just a latency issue, probably not much you can do except make it so that the shots don't automagically appear when they realize they've been shot awhile ago.
Make them shoot when they realize that they've been shot :)
And that's ALL you have too do.

But if you do that, then they're shown in the wrong place, which makes it hard to dodge things.
This isn't a problem, per se, it's just how things work. Weapon blasts travel fast, and the internet incurs some latency on when it can first appear.

funny, I fought Graig two hours ago, it was the same, I coulnd't see anything, but hear and be hit, yes

It's a problem when you can't see the shots being fired at you. Most of the combat that I experience with energy is at ranges of less than 150 m, and if there's a 50 meter lag from where the shots originate, that gives me even LESS time to dodge.
