For Lady Serco!
I wonder how well I'll be able to do with 2500 ping and 5 minute sector load times.
About as well as normal, for you.
Current prize is 26 million, but that may rise! Thanks to Pirren, THC, PA and FR!
ONE will make it an even 30
Sweet.
Quick question:
Is it alright to kill the observers if they get too close?

Grats to Yoda and his 2-rule NW! I will miss this one, but sunny sundays force mt into the wild RL...
According to your rules I can show up 5 minutes before the start and nuke one of the teams then switch alts and wait until there are only a few people left then jump in with full health and kill everyone or if I can't do the killing I can just turbo off afk into infinity and prevent the event from terminating. You didn't define victory conditions though you did state that people break the rules when they die (and leave the sector). I guess you could say that only the people who don't break the rules can win.
Really, I could just keep feeding alts to the event.

Plant, that's quite the point. A new side of things.
Maalik, we can switch weeks with/without Gray team. :)
That wasn't the point pirren. The point is that there is a reason that Nation War had a paragraph of rules explaining how it worked. You also have to remember that not everybody is a vet who knows the rules without being told. Even posting the full rules every week in the event page, which is viewable both on the website and in-game, and also including them every week in the summary on the forum, I still got newbies participating who didn't understand that they only got one life or could only observe in a free ship or couldn't start fighting until I said "go".
If you go back and read the rule set I was using, it would only take a couple small modifications to match it to yoda's desired rules. For example:
Only those who are on-time are allowed to participate.
Participants must be on their nation's team.
You may not start fighting until the host signals the start of the battle - this includes the 15 minute period prior to the planned starting time.
You may not return to the battle sector after you have left except to observe from a healthy distance in an EC-88 or EC-89.
No running from the asteroid field.
The last team standing wins.
It could probably be made a little more brief:
You must be on time.
Do not start fighting before the host says to start.
You must fight for your nation's team.
You get one life and are not allowed to leave the asteroid field.
Observers must use an EC-88 or EC-89 and must stay well out of the way.

exploit spoilers... : /
Yeah, I want it as simple as possible, I guess the rules should be expanded to:
You must be on time.
Do not start fighting before the host says to start.
You must fight for your nation's team.
You get one life and are not allowed to leave the asteroid field.
Observers must use an EC-88 or EC-89 and must stay well out of the way.
