Today an elite team of pilots from all nations was organized and directed by me to free the space station in the C-12 sector of the Pelatus system. This operation was not an attack by bandits, pirates, nationalists or greedy traders. This operation was not an attack on the CoN, The Guild of Free Traders, VPR or any other occupiers. This was an operation for freedom directed by an anonymous cooperative who now exist within the ranks of all guilds, and who wish to promote true freedom throughout the galaxy. The station in Pelatus C-12 is a vital manufacturing hub and should truly be free to all regardless of nation, guild or profession. I have done this as a message of peace to all, and in the true spirit of free and open trade. No one will be denied access to Pelatus C-12 when it is under my control, and no one needs to fight over it now. You will not be asked for a thing in exchange for access to this station.
Those who wish to join me in the promotion of TRUE freedom and prosperity throughout the galaxy, the time is now.
Those who wish to perpetuate dominance over all, you will be hit hard and fast, and when you least expect it. You will suffer great losses, and you will regret choosing this path.
There is now extended to all an olive branch or a quiver of arrows, which one is up to you. State your intentions below this message or contact me out in the 'verse.

Note: If the present occupiers of Latos I-8 and Bractus M-14 fear that we will free those stations as well, it is not our intention to do so at this time.
Our intentions may change based on the actions of others regarding Pelatus.

As long as this remains an open station and doesn't turn into another clique I support this movement
Vendetta is the only combat game I know of that somehow subconsciously promotes pacifism among its players.
Some players promote pacifism because VO doesn't enforce it programmatically as other games do. You've got it backwards, Ghost.
Anyways, I'm cool with this provided the keys do in fact stay free and open to all.

There is a bigger issue at hand ghost, one that has had its hand around grey spacers necks for years, Ecka.
And opening the stations to everyone relieves him of his power. Once he dies from sadness as no one talks to him anymore as he is a jerk. The universe can return to normal.

I somehow got an owner key to this station, and offer my services if defence is needed in return. I'm not about as much as I used to be, but when I am around, you can count on my support.
La Familia supports this action and we will go along with your scheme.... for now.
Speaking for myself.
"The station in Pelatus C-12 is a vital manufacturing hub and should truly be free to all regardless of nation, guild or profession."
QFT.
"No one will be denied access to Pelatus C-12 when it is under my control, and no one needs to fight over it now."
As long as this is true, I support this idea, and wouldn't be sad to see it happen to the other stations as necessary.

Good Luck.
PA tried to do this for the longest while, but it went and got all political anyway. There are conflicts in VO that sadly one cannot just simply declare away, I've discovered.
Yes, I'm aware that some don't mind the conflicts. All PA had wished to do was to declare certain stations open to all with odd and foreign concepts like no non-consensual PvP. Sadly, we were declared a bunch of ninnies and the stations attacked anyway.
As stated, good luck.

PA tried to do this but it got FUBAR'd by politics. Meaning, a very small number of very vocal PA members hated the idea, whined long and loud and did not stop whining until the station was (briefly) strictly PA controlled.

Heck, ITAN did this a few times with Latos I-8 and the CoN conquered it back even though we gave them keys. :)
Let's hope things are different this time because some mystery figure is involved. *shrug*

So Vendetta adds conquerable stations, arguably the most significant update in the history of the game, and the players decide not to conquer them.
-.-
I'm tempted to come back and play evil just to remind people how much fun a real conflict can be in a game that's largely about shooting things.

If it were worth it to fight over the conquerable stations, then I'd be all for it. But the capships are such a pain to manufacture anyway, fighting over the conq stations is just annoying.
If the conq stations gave you something more meaningful than access to the capship missions, I'd be all about fighting it out for them.

Spent the last year fighting over the conq stations Ghost, wake up and play the game once in awhile so you don't look retarded when you say something
Now it's just about crushing a tired old man.

Just because you don't see me playing as Ghost doesn't mean I don't play. I resub fairly often, but I rarely log on as Ghost these days.
Don't make assumptions so you don't look retarded when you're wrong =P
Maybe I'm just in a bad timezone for VO activity. Everything always seems to be dead during the evening on Pacific Time.

There was basically nonstop fighting for the conquerable stations in the past fall/winter/spring.

As much as PA would like to pretend that they were doing this (“declare certain stations open to all”), actually that is false.
PA were sharing station access with one group of players and denying station access to another group of players.
With different alts (one in each nation) I have politely requested keys from PA on several occasions, but been denied them. PA just wanted to have access for the C.o.N. only, (which was ultimately being controlled by Ecka / TGFT). That is why PA failed.
Oh and +1 to the O.P.
