- One set of asteroids (tan, shattered rocks) have been updated on the PC to a new "high definition" standard, with greatly increased polygon counts.
- Fixed dynamic lights and shadow shaders for OpenGL 4 on Mac and Linux.
- Fixed issue with DirectX 11 driver sometimes not restoring the correct screen size when alt-tabbing while in full-screen mode.

Time to mine some pentric clusters!
Keep in mind, the new asteroids are very, very close 1:1 matches to the originals, but with more edge complexity and better lighting. So the differences may be subtle, but they at least don't stand out quite as much as "super low poly".
Yay, shaders work again! Thanks for fixing that, the game looks like butts without them.
You can really notice the new asteroids in an ion storm. The additional polys show up on the storm radar wire frame.

Oh boy, more subtle differences in asteroid quality!!111eleven
When forced to choose between the work that makes neat features, and the work that makes everything not go offline, which one would you pick? -Inc.
At some point, I like to think I'd pick the realization that without some neat features, it doesn't matter whether everything goes offline or not.
[Edit: since Inc. has chosen to selectively bar me from replying to this thread and this thread alone, I'll just note here that I've been demonstratively positive about VO on at least one occasion - I still have an amusing email from Inc. responding to the size of my KS pledge, which I seriously doubt anyone else matched, much less topped. Too bad you guys didn't pull that one off, maybe if you had circumstances wouldn't have necessitated the current development route/state of the game. But you didn't and here we are - KFTC all you like, I guess.]

There's also the realization that you've been categorically negative about everything we've ever done, in the decade you've been here, and that responding to your negativity is not a valuable usage of my time.

If you spent weeks and months staring at them at <25m from the surface, you might not be so sarcastic.

I don't think businessmen that like being in business are supposed to make references to special people like that
Heh, it's a pretty ancient and widely-known meme; but fair enough, I've removed the link.
That's a response I never expected from CS.
This isn't the role play section Kierky...I'm guessing this is the only reason CS performed out of character.
