Yes Savet the idea is a complete winner, but that involves website dev which is something guild software is apparently trying to avoid since i'm pretty sure they do it in-house and thus have to move resources away from actual game-engine development.
I reckon setting up that idea would be worth at least a week's worth of developer time but hey maybe i'm just being over optimistic about the level of community support there. After all, the kickstarter goals were fairly modest and we didn't reach them.

And if this enhancement is not satisfactory, what then? Do you demand your money back? Or if the enhancement causes unexpected bugs that require much more dev time that originally thought -- and the effort cannot be completed because there's not enough money -- what then?
Not so simple a solution... Throwing cash at specific enhancements is not really the way to go about this and will just result in people being more dissatisfied, along with opening the door for legal issues that GS would likely prefer to avoid.

I don't think this idea would be well implemented in a localized sense, but rather a broad one. It would simply require GS to compile a long term development goal, something I'm sure they already do, and would simply offer the option to us to throw our money at it to make it happen faster. If we want more manufacturable ships, for instance, in half the amount of development time, then we have that option available. If we don't make the goal then things go at normal pace.
That's a bit of an oversimplification. You can't just pour money into 4 people and expect video game pieces to proportionally flow out the other side.
YIKES !
Every post ends up off topic and ends with suggestions.
OP's post was answered regarding best way to take the station.
I agree with some of the other topics OP posted and Pizza pointed out they could increase fighters, turret armor etc etc. to be addressed per playerbase size and activity. I see both points.
Further off topic response is this:
A lot of times people do not even want to fight over the station and end up sharing keys to build stuff which futher increases the boredome factor.
I've considered the subject of possibly OPEN station and none conquerable.
Example of OPEN
If you have manpower to protect your trade route and crating process, then you can build. If not, your stuck in the station where there may be fighters obstructing your process. I don't know if that is a good idea either but at least you could get things done instead of shooting unmanned turrets.
If there is not even anyone to defend the station why bother with the conq part at all.
Perhaps an abandoned station for a certain numbers of min / hours should be OPEN.
I mean if there is nothing there nothing to defend no one there why turrets ?
Ghosttowns are not defended if no one wants them anymore right ?
It would be like putting turrets on the moon. Assuming the conq station is a resourse and needs protecting is seems strange to waste resourses and protecting it if there hasn't been anyone there in a while.
Side note:
Back to the conq subject for a moment. What about the cost of the turrets to protect it.
The occupiers should be charged HUGE creds for the station and the turrets making the value of credits more important. Keys should be sold to the sharers not given. Whoever conqs sells shared keys. Increasing the need to pirate the station too. There are overlapping subjects regarding credits which seems to have little value but might be something to consider overall. I'm not suggesting this exactly but just throwing it around for the devs to dream up something.
The cost would be HUGE for the capturer and they could recover that by keys sold and even profit from it at some point perhaps.
Anyhow this is way off topic I realize, the OP's post was answered already.

Captain86, every single one of your posts is tl;dr.
how do u get keys from itan coalition to conquer the station
You should revive two month old posts.
I think one way to raise extra $$ for developement is by selling ships and other items for cash, or perhaps crystals. Before the kiddies start chirping about " that's pay to win", or some other unproductive rhetoric think it through first. What do you see almost every new player ask for on 100? It's "How do I get a behemoth?". How about selling a FRB ( fund raising behemoth) for $5 or an equivalent amount of crystals? This does NOT give the player basic mining 2, or the ability to purchase new behemoths at a station with credits. 5$ gives a player one ship, period. When it gets blown up sorry, but for another $5 you can purchase a new one or at least while this months fund raising ship is available. Take items currently in the game, give them the Fund raising prefix and change it up on a monthly basis. No item in this game is permanent so it's not pay to win, it's pay to support the game and it's entirely optional. It would give noobs some instant gratification and a taste of what they could have more readily if they stay with the game. Perhaps sell Ore packages this way, or other crafting materials. Just regular items that could be farmed in game but if you want to support the games development and perhaps save your gaming time for more enjoyable activities you have the OPTION of spending some $$ to purchase x amount of xithricite or whatever. What about faction standing? Sell a similar faction fix as is found in Corvus for x amount of $$. I'm not saying that Tridents or player owned stations should be sold, just convenience items and perhaps some special occasion things. For example perhaps at Christmas some Queen drops could be sold, perhaps on Halloween you could buy a ore collecter bot pet. Who knows, I'm sure others that have played longer than me could come up additional ideas, but I really think an in-game store for the purpose of fund raising or just keeping the lights on is worth looking into.
Holy wrong topic batman!
Pay-to-cheat advocates are by definition idiots, so it should be no surprise that they find forums difficult to use. To say nothing of such arcane tools as paragraphs.
