People. I have no idea how many play this game. BUt any game I have played, or do play has an extremely active forum.
This game, does not.
Now don't get me wrong, anything that is posted most people respond to. And anything that is directed at the devs- they respond too- in a timely and respectful manner (UNLIKE all the other mmo's)
But I come to the forums to hear the latest rants, raves, questions, answers, etc. But there are rarely any new Threads.
What Gives?
Is is that the playerbase is just that small that there arent enough people to keep this forum alive and active? or am I just being to ambitious thinking that These boards should have new posts every day?
Do the new ipad users know of this site/forum?
Does it need to be promoted more?

We all talk on 100, forums are boring and crappy.

Try promoting this site on other forums; mmorpg.com has very active forums with dozens of posts every hour, and they have covered VO on occasion since 2004. Touch arcade has a huge thread on Vendetta Online with over 100 posts. If you want the forums to be more active, advertise and be honest. Word of mouth can be a powerful tool.

I guess the IRC DOES make a difference on that. I just want the forum community to be a nice wealth of info/chatting for the peeps that dont do the irc stuff..but def a good point-- thanks for the response.

This Forum is well more polite than any other game forums I know.
Guess it's because the in game chat is wide open, and people can talk there even w/o logging in the game.

I agree with the other comments. People have a variety of ways to express themselves here, and in the forums people tend to add to threads rather than making new ones all over the place. It is a pretty sophisticated community in that way.

Also, I delete about 20 threads a day.

Star Citizen isn't even a game yet and their forum is full of T.R.A.S.H.

It's to the point where I don't even feel like I should bother contributing anything, and I talk a LOT on this forum don't we all know it.

I think its fair to say that any differences to other game forums definitely goes in the 'pros' column, rather than the 'cons'.

Being new to the game, I'm up for any "How To's", "Tips and Tricks", or general noob advice. Would love to hear from the vets of the game.

Kabuloso and TheRedSpy are right though. It's surprisingly civil in here compared to many game forums I've been on.

None of us want to talk on here, we'd much rather shoot at eachother in the actual fucking game.

You give yourself too little credit Dr Lecter... I am sure some people would surely like to shoot you in real life as well ;-)

There's a lot of activity on this forum, what are you talking about? lol... You are only likely to see more activity if we found our posts to make any sort of difference in game (re: suggestions).
